Capstone Journal Entry - Your Own 'Last Lecture'
If
I were to give advice to someone who was about to start the entrepreneurship journey
the first thing I would tell them is to have confidence in themselves. If you
do not believe in yourself, no one else will. It is important to trust yourself
and know that you can accomplish what you put your mind to accomplish with the
plans you have made.
I
have learn many great principles from the Action Hero, I will miss but not
really miss it because I have save the link and I also know I will always get
access to it when I visit my ilearn page. I have learning great principles and
life experience from great men and women which has really shaped my way of
thinking and living. One of the people whom live experience always echo in my
mind each day was Desh Deshpande, he worked tremendously hard and had a strong
goal to start companies with intentions of everything can be done with benchmarks
in mind as well. He had a few setbacks over his career but taught that he
learned from each setback that life goes on and you can rebuild no matter how
much it seems like the world around you is ending. It has made me never given
up in any situation when even I don’t make the best out of it.
The book I intend to
read and re-read is the “E-Myth
Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It’ by Michael E. Gerber”. From this
book I came to learn that I should not just jump into a business idea I have,
but instead of jumping into it just like that, I need to come up with an
organization strategy which will enable me become successful and I feel that
what I came to fully understand when I read about “Work
on Your Business, Not Just in It”
I have come to
understand how one can go into franchise business and the need to be aware of
things that you need to do. I
learned how important it is to have an attorney with experience in Franchise
to scrutinize every document before signing. I
also learn about the pros and cons of franchising.
In regards to my $100
challenge, I have earned $95 which I know will increase after my last trip for
this assignment.
I have decided to be self-motivated and optimistic in all
that I do and never lose focus due to a failure to achieve one goal or the
other but just “Do It” as Nike. So I would want you do that makes you happy but
not what the mass want you to do.
